baby sit-ups

i showed my mommy and daddy two of my new skills yesterday. i now understand when daddy says "come here" - i crawl to him and he gives me a kiss!

i can now also sit up from a crawling position all by myself. it's so nice. i no longer need someone else's help to switch positions. instead of falling asleep, i especially love to practice this in the crib!

mei tai baby

my mommy and daddy are always looking for new ways to carry me. they just got a new baby carrier, called a bamberoo mei tai. it is really comfortable - i think every parent should have one!

visitors

a lot of people from out of town visited me the past few days. they all wanted to chill with me. can you blame them? :) and perhaps they also wanted to spend some time catching up with mommy and daddy. jennifer and mex stayed over on thursday. on sunday, jim and krista, mike and lisa, and chris and monica all stopped by. i used to smile and want to play with anyone and everyone, but now i get a little scared of unfamiliar people.

monica and lisa are both pregnant. in a few months, i can be big sister to their new daughters. i have so much to teach them...how to babble, how to blow raspberries, how to crawl, and most importantly, how to cry like a champ!

seth and melissa

seth and melissa visited me this weekend. they were a lot of fun! melissa is very entertaining, plus i loved her silver necklace. and seth's beard is fun to touch. melissa would hold me every chance she could get - it was great!

new car seats

i am a big infant now. which means i have outgrown my first car seat. so i now have two new car seats. they are both in grey to match my mommy's and daddy's cars. they are so so comfy - i love sitting (and sleeping) in it!

fresh air

my mommy and daddy won't let me go outside by myself to get some fresh air, so i do the next best thing...i crawl to the nearest air vent!

seven months

what can i do at seven months? i am quite advanced. i can now babble (my favorite phrase is "bah bah bah"), spin in circles (i prefer clockwise), turn over very smoothly, bang with my hands, and move back and forth using my arms. let me show you...

cleveland

we went to cleveland for a few days. i made many new friends. i got a little scared, getting so much attention and being around so many new people. but i still had fun! and check out the cool bib my daddy got me for independence day.
