sitting up

now that i can roll over, i am learning how to sit up. i can sit up by myself for a few seconds before i topple over. isn't that cool? i can sit longer if i use the tripod stance. but being propped up with a boppy is the best - i reach for toys with my hands, and i can sit for as long as i want without tipping over!

five months

i am almost five months old. did you know that i have changed a lot in the past month? i can now roll over onto my tummy. and i am much better at reaching for things - i can even hold my own bottle briefly. i don't use a pacifier anymore. my babbling is also different. i can make basic vowel-consonant sounds. mommy and daddy are still better babblers than me. sleeping through the night? well, not yet, but i usually go about five hours. i get bored now with some of the games i used to play - the vowel game is way too simple for me. but i love bouncing around and being lifted in the air! and i am beginning to understand that one things leads to another. when my mommy or daddy starting counting to three, i smile at two because i know at three, they will lift me high up! and i figured out that if i kick the buttons on the mobile i can turn it on all by myself.

i don't really watch much tv, but i love to watch videos of myself when i was younger. i was just as adorable back then as i am now!

can you tell from these pictures that i had my first haircut today? i can't believe mommy and daddy waited this long to trim my hair.

chillin'

i usually get up around the same time as my parents. my mommy and daddy are often rushing to get ready for work, so i sometimes just chill out and watch them get ready.

reading

this afternoon, i fell asleep reading my one of my favorite books. somehow i was able to put the book over my head and also wrap my teething ring around my arm before i conked out.

rolling rolling rolling

i am getting good at rolling. i can easily roll from side to side. i especially like rolling over while playing with my toys.

today, i rolled over from my back to my stomach for the first time. just to prove it wasn't a fluke, i did it twice!

bath time

i really love bath time! i get so excited when i hear the sound of water running. i let my mommy and daddy know how happy i am by squealing and dancing!

crib

i usually sleep in my co-sleeper next to mommy but sometimes i sleep in my crib. my crib rocks! it has a cd player, mobile, hanging toy arch and an aquarium. pretty cool, eh? does your bed have all that?

by the way, i am holding my firefly is this picture. it is my favorite toy!

daddy time

mommy had to work this past weekend so i got to spend most of my weekend with daddy. we played a lot, napped together, took a stroll around the neighborhood, and went shopping. daddy tried to secretly take some pictures of me playing in my walker but i saw him sneaking up!

four months

i am 4 months old today! i went to see my doctor for a checkup two days ago and she told me that i was 13 pounds 3 ounces and 24 1/2 inches. Which means i am just above average for height and just below average for weight compared to other babies.

i got four shots during my visit - it hurt and made me cry. but i was with mommy so it was okay.

100 day celebration - continued

more pictures from baek-il. i had so much fun i needed to take a nap during the party. i also wore my first diamond ring. daddy did a double take!

100 day celebration

oh wow, my daddy's side of the family celebrated my first 100 days, called baek-il. i can get used to being the center of attention!

new york city

what a weekend! i had my first airplane ride. i flew to new york city to visit daddy's mommy and daddy (aka grandma and grandpa). i slept through the first half of each flight, but i got scared by the loud announcements by the flight attendant.

grabby baby

yeah, daddy's back! i missed him. he was gone all week for work so i didn't get to play with him. luckily my mom was home with me the whole time. i showed her my new skill...i figured out how to use my arms. i can reach for things really well. before, if i grabbed something, it was accidental but now when i see something i want, i grab it with both hands. once i get it, i like to put it in my mouth! reaching for things does get tiring though...nothing beats a good nap!

walker

for those who want the 411 on my weight, i am now over 12 and a half pounds. my parents call me their chubby baby. my stomach is a lot bigger now too. i have gone as long as 7 hours between feedings. and today i drank 5.5 ounces of milk at one feeding. that's the best i've done so far with a bottle. when i was born, i had to eat every 2 hours, and each feeding lasted almost an hour.

mommy had to work today, so i got to spend all day with my daddy. he's a lot of fun. he's goofy and full of energy. plus he is really good at changing my diapers. i don't need him around all the time though. i have plenty of fun just playing by myself in my walker! (my daddy tells me that walkers are dangerous and once i am strong enough to move it, i won't be able to play with it anymore.)

living room

i spent most of my day here. i think mommy and daddy call it the living room. i am not sure what that means. all i know is that the room is full of my toys. my swing, my bouncey chair, my activity mat, my walker, my kick n drive gym, my boppy, my pacifier, my rattle, my bassinet and my blankets are all there. i want my mommy and daddy to be comfortable too, so i let them have a few chairs to sit on. otherwise, it's all about me!
